The husband of a teacher who was killed in the Uvalde Texas Elementary School shooting has died.

A disturbed teen, Salvador Ramos, opened fire in Robb Elementary killing 19 children and 2 teachers.

Among the two teachers killed was Irma Garcia leaving behind her family and her husband of 24 years, Joe Garcia.

Unfortunately, days after his wife’s death, Joe succumbed to heart attack.

Announcing his demise, the family announced that Joe succumbed to a fatal heart attack, adding that they left behind four children.

“Extremely heartbreaking and come with deep sorrow to say that my Tia Irma’s husband Joe Garcia has passed away due to grief,” posted Garcia’s nephew.

He added; “I truly am at a loss for words for how we are all feeling, please pray for our family, God have mercy on us, this isn’t easy.”

Garcia, who has been an educationist for 23 years, was a fourth-grade teacher at the Elementary school.

On the fateful day, the attacker stormed the school with a rifle and a backpack while wearing a tactical vest that holds extra ammunition.

He dropped a bag full of ammunition outside of the school during that encounter and ran inside.

He then barricaded himself in a classroom and an adjoining classroom, then opened fire at those inside.

It is also said that the teen legally purchased two assault rifles and scores of ammo last week to mark his 18th birthday.
