Inside Caroline Kangogo’s suicide note

Corporal Caroline Kangogo who committed suicide early morning on Friday,July 16 left behind a detailed suicide note in which she explained why she killed two men.

Kangogo who was found dead at a bathroom at her parents home in Rift Valley is said to have left a draft message in her kabambe phone which she had opted to use to prevent being tracked by the DCI Crime Research & Intelligence Bureau.

According to sources, Kangogo issued a statement in her note wishing to be buried in a wedding dress and further demanded to be interred at her parents land other than her husband’s land in Kericho due to marital conflict known to them.

“She knew that her end was near and wrote the message, narrating the intrigues into her case,” A source privy to the development told Kenyans.

Another source, a police officer, who chose anonymity, narrated that Kangogo accused several male officers in Nakuru of sexually abusing her but the source did not disclose if she filed a complaint with the Internal Affairs Unit (IAU).

Further reports indicate that the late night have been angered by her former friend Peter Ndigwa who allegedly conned her over KSh 2.7 million in a car deal gone wrong.

It was when she allegedly killed the security expert who live in Juja, Kiambu County.

We suspect that Kangogo may have demanded the money back but was ignored. It is a theory we are pursuing. We have factual leads,” DCI detective said on Thursday,July 9.

It still remains unclear why she killed her other ally John Ogweno attached at the Kasarani Police Station in Nakuru County.

It is also reported that she had problems with her husband who is a senior police officers linked at the Maritime Police Unit in Mombasa and had vowed to kill him.

According to reports she had threatened to murder her husband whom they sire two children age 8 and 12 together.

In her message it is alleged that her husband escaped the assassination just because he was in Nairobi making it difficult for her.

She also indicated that she had beef with her father Barnaba Kibor who is a former police officer.

Kangogo’s body was to Iten County Referral Hospital mortuary for preservation and postmortem.
