Indian man arrested for threatening to cut another into small pieces

A man of Indian descent was on Friday, January 7 arrested for threatening to kill another person and cut him into small pieces.

In a statement on its social media pages, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) disclosed that the suspect identified as Amar Dilip Shah was arrested in Westlands.

Amar is also said to have resisted arrest and attacked the arresting officer but he was subdued and taken into lawful custody.

“What followed was a scuffle as the unruly suspect attempted to throw kicks and punches at the detective Inspector of Police. But the officer who is also a martial arts specialist subdued the man effortlessly,” the DCI said.

The suspect is currently awaiting arraignment to be charged with threatening to kill.

“Resisting arrest or assaulting a police officer, executing his duties, attracts a fine not exceeding Ksh.1 million or imprisonment for a term not exceeding ten years or both,” the DCI warned.
