He heaped praises on Ayimba noting that he had the power to rally and influence a team towards achieving a common goal.
“Benja strength was he had the power to rally a team around a common goal. He also he had been through the process and knew exactly what was needed. He made us run through a brick walls and the games we won were because he believed so much in our talent,” he said.
“Personally we created a tight bond over the years and achieved some milestones along the way. He was big on off-pitch bonding as he said brothers and friends before teammates,” he added.
Ayimba took his last breath on Friday evening, May 21 after a battle with celebral malaria that kept him off the public limelight since the beginning of 2021.
His death was confirmed by family spokesman Oscar Osir who spoke to the Kenya Rugby Union (KRU).
