Musicians Hopekid and Nicah the Queen recently received backlash from netizens after faking relationship to market their gospel song.
Taking to her social media pages, Nicah shared a cute photo posing alongside Hopekid and captioned it with a message revealing he had won her heart.
She also added a love emoji at her caption to affirm their love for each other.
In the photo, the two could be seen looking at each other romantically with beautiful smiles in their faces.
“It is official @hopekidhk has won me.“
Social media users, however, found it unnecessary to fake a relationship just to hype a song.
Here are some of the comments from social media users.
bryansila: “This can only be music released, otherwise we know even Hopekid cannot sustain this relationship.”
wigganjasford: “Looking good in deed in life prophet.
joycemoses583: “New song loading?”
412ever: “Is that how you announce a new song these days?”
b.o.b_photographer: “@nicahthequeen just drop the song rather than pull these silly stunts.”
Mimmoh : “Trust gospel artistes to do the most just because they want to release a new song, where is your salvation?”
