The bride was into a full wedding gear while the groom lay in a brown casket.

The compound was neat with garments spread out creating a fancy path for which the woman would pass from the house to the tent where her lifeless fiance lay.

The beauty walked to the tent while dancing, blushing and excited as she approached the groom.

“We are aware it is not your wish to have a wedding ceremony in this manner, but kindly accept this ring so that you and your wife will remain one,” the man presiding over the ceremony told the groom.

The congregation celebrated while Mbayi put a ring on the finger of the dead groom.

The congregations celebratory mood quickly turned to sorrow as the event turned to a funeral after the wedding.

In the afternoon the departed groom was laid to rest.

It is not yet clear what led to Mbayi’s decision to tie the knot with the deceased.

Multiple sources indicated that Mbayi might have been brainwashed by teachings of prophetess Mary Akatsa whom in their sect they call mummy.

In the sect, they believe death is just a graduation.
