Former Youth Fund chairman Gor Semelang’o jailed

Former Youth Fund boss Gor Semelang’o has been jailed for 30 days for defaulting a 3.6 million debt, and consequently avoiding police arrest.

Reports show the flashy businessman was arrested in Nairobi Tuesday afternoon, taken to Milimani Magistrate’s court where he was sentenced to 30 days in jail without option of bail.

According to a report published by K24 digital, the KSh 3.6 million belongs to lawyer George Miyare of Atonga Miyare & Associates Advocates and who went to court to help him recover his money.

Further, the report details that Gor Semelang’o will spend the 30 days at Industrial Area remand prison for reportedly avoiding arrest after a warrant of arrest was issued against him.

He was jailed because he colluded with police to evade arrest,” said a tipster privy to the details of the case.

The flashy businessman is known for expensive taste and one of his companies was mentioned in the NYS scandal.
