Former Bumula MP Bifwoli Wakoli has remembered departed former President Mwai Kibaki following his demise.
Speaking with a local media house, the former lawmaker recalled an instance where he approached the former Head of State to fund his campaigns.
Wakoli said he sought audience with Kibaki in 2013 hoping that the former President would give him money to conduct campaigns.
However, the controversial former MP was shocked when Kibaki suggested if they could share his salary once elected.
At the time, Wakoli said he considered himself among Kibaki’s favorites.
The narrative sparked mixed reactions across social media with netizens arguing that he could have given a better answer to Wakoli.
Benard Were: Funny mzee… Best ever president.
George Kaberi: May the Legend rest in peace.
Jones Savimbi: Na mbona hukufikiria hivo kwanza kabla hujaenda kuomba pesa?
David Kimani: Kibaki was mean but everyone has his own shortcomings. Even without giving money, he could have given a better answer.
