Eric Omondi halts Wife Material show

Controversial Comedian Eric Omondi has officially cancelled his Wife Material season 2, days after getting on the wrong side of the law.

The self-styled president of comedy said that all the ladies from different countries in East Africa had returned to their respective homes.

According to him the second season of wife material show with an aim bringing together East Africa was received in a negative way.

Although the first season worked out pretty well, the second one had to be stopped after the Kenya Films Classifications Board (KFCB) CEO Ezekiel Mutua intervened.

Taking it to his Instagram account, The funnyman said that all the ladies from Uganda and Tanzania had travelled and arrived safely except for one Ugandan who decided to stay in Kenya for a while.

He also shared a video showing himself and the lady who remained come from the airport where the had gone to bid by to the others.

Just days ago Omondi was arrested by officers from Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) for illegally airing unauthorized films.

He publicly apologized hours after his release from police custody on KSh 50k police bond.

The comedian later on requested for an out of court settlement a day after he was arrested for illegally airing unauthorized wife material show.

Well after agreements with Morality cop Mutua for an out of court settlement, Eric Omondi was ordered to pull down all the wife material videos by Monday, March, 15 and assured him that failure to which he will face the music.

We received an apology and request from Eric Omondi for an out of court settlement of the case against him, but apparently the explicit videos are still circulating on his social media platforms. The videos must be taken down by 8am Monday, March 15, 2021 otherwise…,” he warned.
