Popular Kisii musician Chris Musioma, alias Embarambamba was trending for the better part of Monday evening, May 3 after risking his life during a video shoot.
A video showing the singer nearly knocked down by a motorcycle emerged eliciting mixed reactions on social media.
In the clip, Embarambamba was seen trying to cross a busy highway while running coming face to face with a speeding motorcycle.
The boda boda nearly hit the singer but escaped as the rider quickly swerved to the opposite direction.
GOTTA.news can, however, not confirm if the incident was scripted or not.
Cyrile Clodwig: The guy is too much. He needs to be controlled. He is risking his life and that of others
Sir John: Now this guy is it only a danger to himself but also others. Ezekiel Mutua was right, maybe he needs help
Britam Insurance Advisor: I told this guy to get a personal accident cover akalenga. You will bend the other way
Paul Njoroge: Not only hit but he could have caused an accident. Imagine if there was a vehicle coming from the opposite direction as the bodaboda swerved? all for what?
This came barely a month after Kenya Films and Classification Board (KFCB) boss Ezekiel Mutua raised concerns about Embarambamba’s stunts in his music videos.
The KFCB boss said the musician is endangering himself and he needs to be stopped.
“Why do I feel like Embarambamba is a danger to himself and that his fans could be cheering him to self-destruction? Is this style sustainable? Is it even sane?” wrote Mutua.
