A video of Garissa Township MP Aden Duale barring Lawyer George Kithi from standing next to Deputy President William Ruto has surfaced online sparking mixed reactions.
The lawyer had accompanied Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi to the DP’s residence where the governor’s decision to join Kenya Kwanza under his Pamoja Africa Alliance (PAA) outfit was formalized.
As DP Ruto prepared to address the press, Kithi who is contesting for Kilifi gubernatorial seat in the forthcoming elections sought to stand next to Kingi who stood behind the DP.
However, as he tried to make the move, MP Duale barred him by pulling his hand and directing him to stand away the DP.
The video sparked mixed reactions with netizens sympathizing with the lawyer over the action which was termer humiliating.
Ndungu Harun: And it’s just the beginning. They haven’t met Farouk Kibet yet, Duale was just doing the orientation.
Hellen Gatuku: These ones better be psychologically prepared for the bullying awaiting them, physical and ideological.
Ng’endo Murugu: These ones better be psychologically prepared for the bullying awaiting them, physical and ideological.
Josh Olunga: Politics is a game of perception. This kind of humiliation George Kithi was subjected to by Kenya Kwanza is a big shame. Baptism by fire.
