Deputy President William Ruto and his wife Rachel Ruto on Tuesday,March 30 got vaccinated against Covid-19.
Ruto together with his family received the Covid-19 jab at his Karen residence in Nairobi county.
The DP urged citizens to get vaccinated against the dreadful disease to keep their loved ones on the safer side.
“COVID-19 vaccines are our safe and effective tools in saving lives and managing the disease. I encourage Kenyans to participate in this exercise to protect ourselves against the pandemic.
“My family and I received the COVID-19 vaccination at the Karen Residence, Nairobi County,” He tweeted.
The Deputy President follows the footsteps of his boss Uhuru Kenyatta who on Friday, March 26 together with the First Lady Margaret Kenyatta received the Covid-19 vaccine jab.
In a live televised vaccination exercise presided by professionals the president led by example with an aim of encouraging Kenyans to get vaccinated.
In the same event, Cabinet Secretaries like the Interior CS Fred Matiang’i, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe got vaccinated against the deadly disease.
