Deputy President William Ruto is in mourning following the death of one of his staff members attached to the Deputy President Press Service (DPPS).
The late Anthony Kariuki who worked for the DPPS until the time of his death passed on Friday night, September 27.
According to the Head of the Deputy President’s Press Service Kariuki was hit by a van as he crossed the road to his Buruburu residence at about 10pm.
“He was crossing the road on his way home when he was knocked by the tour van. He died before he could reach hospital for emergency medical attention,” Mugonyi told Sunday Nation.
Ruto described Kariuki as “sharp, dependable, industrious, committed and creative with positive attitude.”
