Detectives Investigate Use of Second Gun in Sankok’s Son Shooting Incident

Fresh details have emerged on the mysterious death of Nominated Member of Parliament (MP) David Ole Sankok’s son.

The MP was yet again questioned by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives over contradicting statements issued by the family on Memusi Sankok’s death.

Speaking with journalists, Narok County DCI boss, Mwenda Ethaiba said another gun might have been used in the incident.

He said the gun picked from the scene and taken for ballistic investigations was not the one used in the shooting incident.

“Unlike other rifles, a shotgun releases pellets. No bullet or cartridge was found,” Ethaiba said.

Investigations are still underway.

The family’s spokesperson, Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri asked Kenyans to desist from speculating about the incident until the police issues a comprehensive report over the shooting incident.
