Dennis Itumbi sued for Child support

Former State House Director Digital Director Dennis Itumbi has been sued for child support.

Itumbi is accused of deserting a minor he fathered and refusing to provide any form of child maintenance.

The mother of the child through lawyer Enrica Dulo further says she was forced to stop working before she delivered the baby and therefore has no other income to provide for the child.

In a report published by Nation, the woman claims she’s tried holding a meeting with Itumbi without success, with the latter only sending a friend instead of appearing in person or sending an advocate.

“She is seeking KSh50,000 monthly subsistence allowance for the minor to cater for food, clothing, medicine, and house help salary,” says lawyer Dulo in court papers.

The woman is also seeking Itumbi provide his national Identity Card so that his name can be included in the minor’s certificate of birth.

She also wants Itumbi granted reasonable access to the child, but she be allowed to retain actual and legal custody of the minor.

The court papers indicate Itumbi and the lady dated for almost a year, between January and August last year before the relationship abruptly ended.

“He ended the relationship sometime in August, 2018 when the lady informed him that she was pregnant with his child. She successfully delivered a female child on June 14, this year,” says the court papers.

Itumbi currently works in the office of the deputy president William Ruto.
