Popular comedian and actor Martin Githinji, alias Daddie Marto on Thursday, April 22 recalled the first day he introduced his wife, Koku Lwanga, to his mum.
Taking to Instagram, the actor revealed that it was on his birthday and they had gone to his brother’s house for a simple lunch as they celebrated his birthday.
At some point, Martin revealed, that his wife was at the center of a discussion after she disclosed that she was suffering from polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
PCOS is a hormonal disorder common among women of reproductive age.
Women with PCOS may have infrequent or prolonged menstrual periods or excess male hormone (androgen) levels, and the ovaries may develop numerous small collections of fluid (follicles) and fail to regularly release eggs.
”They surprised me with a cake. This 29th birthday had 4 cakes! Office cake, friends cake, babe cake and then family cake. So lunchtime @koku_lwanga reveals she is on a special diet, why? Because she has PCOS. Mom asks what that is, gets to know. She gets concerned for her boy as any mother would,” Marto recalled.
Despite having zero chance of conceiving at the time, Marto said his wife’s first encounter with his mum was excellent, adding that they are parents of one boy and are also expecting their second child.
”We always say we plan, God laughs. At times I am glad when we laugh after we see his plan too. So no matter what you are going through now, things could change. Life is a series of events. And it is the twists that make it worth living it,” he added.

Kate actress who had joined college in Uganda hid her over five months pregnancy from her mother but eventually decided its time for her mum to know the secret.
Kate penned down a confession letter and sent it to her mother.
“I love you very much, I have gone to think about it, I’m six months pregnant,” the letter read.
