Kenya has recorded 139 new COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours, bringing the total tally of confirmed cases in the country to 99,769.
In a statement to newsrooms, Health Ministry CS Mutahi Kagwe said the new cases were recorded from 5,487 samples tested under the same period.
The total number of samples tested in the country is 1,148,030.
Out of the new cases, 119 are Kenyans and 20 are foreigners.
137 more patients were discharged, bringing the total number of recoveries to 82,866.
Of the new discharges, 110 were discharged from various hospitals across the country and 27 from the home-based care programme.
Unfortunately, 1 patients Succumbed to the disease,bringing the total number of fatalities, to 1740.
Currently there are 577 patients admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 1,553 are on Home Based Isolation and Care.
