A Nigerian man identified as Jimoh Falola was on Wednesday, March 17 directed to clean public toilets for 30 days for being rude in court.
Ile-Tuntun Customary Court in Ibadan judge passed the rule, NAN reported.
It is reported that the suspect was disrespectful and had no regard for constituted authority from the way he insulted the court.
The judge directed police officers to take him away until the day he is read to speak respectful while in the court of law.
”He is ordered to embark on a 30-day community service which includes clearing the bush, sweeping the weed, road sweeping, and washing of public toilets”.
The convicts wife, Opeyeme had filed for divorce from her husband.
Falola had initially refused to appear in two court sitting but finally appeared on Wednesday but kept shouting while at the sitting.
Falola accused court’s staff of receiving bribe from his wife so as to favor her in the case.
His behaviour angered the presiding judge who went on directing him to wash to wash public toilets for 30 days.
The case was later adjourned to March 29 for a hearing.
