Media personality and BBC journalist Ciiru Muriuki on Sunday,June 20 remembered her late dad with an emotional message as the world celebrated Fathers Day.
Muriuki recalled how her dad did everything for her while he was alive and how he loved the family until his demise.
She stated that it was so sad how her dad died while he observed normal standards.
Ciiru opened up that her father never smoked nor was he a drunkard and always exercised
“And then came this virus that no one had heard of and it carried you off in a week, leaving this you-shaped hole in my heart that nothing and no one will ever fill,” she wrote.
She penned her message on social media disclosing that her dad was her best friend whom they shared everything together.
“You were my anchor, Baba. My safety net. My Oracle. Every good thing I have ever done in this life has been because of you. And you loved me through every misstep, every mistake,” she continued.
The media personality added that her dad made her feel loved and have the trust in true love asahe knew someone deeply loved her.
“And now you’re just gone, and in my heart, there is this permanent confusion. A scattering that never ends,” wrote Ciiru.
To Ciiru, without her father, life took a turn and she has face it and endure everyday to survive.
Ciiruis optimistic that there is a day when she will meet her father and they will all be happy.
“You are the very best part of me, Daddeh. You taught me everything, except how to live without you,” she concluded.
