The video made the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) to ask netizens to share information of Kiprono so they could ‘celebrate’ him.
And just like most people who are passionate about their jobs, Kiprono now says he never anticipated the video would go viral.
In an interview with NTV, Kiprono disclosed he had just embarked on the enumeration exercise when he met the excited children.
Collins who was a special enumerator and was tasked with counting the sick and those traveling says he never anticipated the video captured by his colleagues would excite Kenyans.
“ It (the video) apparently went viral and I wasn’t prepared,” he said.
He said he’s happy when he causes people to change for the better, puts a smile on people’s face or cause people learn.
Gotta.news has since established that Collins has made contacts with KNBS officials in Nairobi.
