Celebrities who have insured their body parts for millions – PHOTOS

Recently, Classic 105 radio presenter Maina Kageni sparked reactions after disclosing that he has insured his voice.

Speaking to co-host Daniel Ndambuki, alias Churchill, the radio presenter disclosed that he has insured his voice for a whooping KSh 100 million.

Well, this is not new, below is a list of celebrities who have endured their body parts.

Mariah Carey

When Mariah Carey embarked on her “Sweet Fantasy” tour in 2016, she took out a KSh 3.7 billion insurance policy on her voice and another KSh 3.7 billion policy on her legs.

This means if Carey would have sustained a vocal cord or leg injury that caused her to cancel shows or end the tour early, she had insurance money to fall back on.

Heidi Klum

From 2004 to 2017 when Heidi Klum hosted “Project Runway”, she had her legs protected KSh 215 million.

Speaking to an America publication, she said her left leg is worth less than her right, due to a scar she incurred from falling on glass.

David Beckham

Before retiring from professional soccer in 2013, David Beckham had his legs insured for approximately KSh 15 billion through Lloyd’s of London.

After starring in five James Bond films, Daniel Craig announced “No Time to Die” slated for release in October 2021 would be his last film.

However, playing the role of an illustrious secret agent was not easy, as he does his own stunts and has sustained numerous on-set injuries over the years.

Before they started shooting the film, Craig took out a KSh 970 million insurance policy on his entire body.

Jamie Lee Curtis

In 1996, beloved actress Jamie Lee Curtis became the spokeswoman for L’Eggs Pantyhose.

To protect its investment, parent company Sara Lee, Corp. took out a KSh 107 million insurance policy on her gams through Lloyd’s of London.

America Ferrera

In 2007, actress America Ferrera had her smile insured for KSh 1 billion by Aquafresh White Trays.

The company took out the Lloyd’s of London policy on her smile as part of a promotion designed to raise money for the charity Smiles for Success.

Rihanna

In 2007, Rihanna won the Venus Breeze “Celebrity Legs of a Goddess” Award, which kicked off the company’s Fifth Annual Search for the Best Legs in America.

She also worked with Venus Breeze as a judge for its “Legs of a Goddess” contest.

Taking her honor very seriously, Rihanna insured her gams for KSh 107 million after receiving the award.
