A family in Eldoret has been thrown into mourning following the death of their son.
According to reports, Moses who was a cancer patient lost his life on the eve of his scheduled chemotherapy session at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH).
Moses came into the limelight in October 2021 when his mother, Jane Thuku, put up their family land for sale to cater for her son’s medical expenses.
However, the story caught the attention of philanthropist Karangu Muraya who appealed to Kenyans to help the family raise funds to cater for his treatment.
The funds raised from the campaign saved the family land from being sold and catered for the first batch of treatment.
Since the first treatment, Moses had been appealing help from Kenyans on different social media platforms and he had raised enough funds.
Moses was set to receive his chemotherapy that would save his life but that was not to be.
“I received the sad news that the young man died last night, just a few hours to the day of his long-awaited chemotherapy,” Karangu announced.
