Bishop Justifies Move to Elope With Church Member’s Wife

Bishop Charles Maloba of Power Pentecostal Church has been put on the spot for allegedly eloping with someone else’s wife to an undisclosed location.

According to Dennis Makori, a member of the church choir, Maloba stole his wife and they have been staying together for three months now.

Makori said he tried to reconcile with his wife but she allegedly told him they cannot be together because she had fallen in love with the bishop who has a wife.

He argued that Bishop Maloba might have eloped with his wife because of his prowess in singing being a member of the church choir.

“It seems the bishop liked her performance in the choir that he found a way of drawing her close,” Makori said.

Reacting to the same, Makori’s wife who was only identified as Esther clarified her move to elope with the man of God accusing her husband of not being serious with their marriage.

She noted that despite being together for over 10 years, he is yet to formalize their marriage.

“How can he stay with me for over 10 years without bothering to make our marriage official? If I found someone serious with me what is the problem?” Esther posed.

On the other hand, Bishop Maloba said his actions were expected because his first wife was polygamous and he is from the vast Luhya community.
