Popular gospel singer Ben Cyco on Tuesday, May 11 paid tribute to his sister, Joy Wairuri, who succumbed to cancer about a year ago.
To mark the anniversary, Cyco visited his sister’s grave in Murang’a and laid flowers on it, further penning a heartfelt message.
The singer noted that he could not believe its been a year since she passed away, also sending a message of encouragement to those dealing with grief.
“Continue resting @_fu.raha_. Can’t believe it’s already one year. I also pray for comfort and peace to anyone who is going through grief, it’s never easy, but God comforts and is closer to the brokenhearted, may His peace abound,” he wrote.
@kiragu_reggie: I miss you so much, girl. Keep shining on us
@njukufaith: God gives you comfort and strength
@wanjiru_njiru: She must be looking down on you and beaming with so much pride
@nyawiragachugi: Amen. Chin up, brother. God is in our side
Joy succumbed to leukemia in 2020.
“Rest well, small sis, you fought cancer with all you had. You fought a good fight, and now we give glory to God because where you are, there’s no more suffering. I thank God for a life well-lived. I’m in tears writing this, but it is well. Rest in peace, Joy Wairuri,” wrote Cyco.
