Bahati suffers backlash after posting video smoking cigar

Controversial musician Bahati is topping headlines after sharing a video of himself smoking cigar.

In the video making rounds online since June 7, the singer dressed  like a cowboy completing the look with sunglasses.

A woman could be seen standing next to him as he put the stogie in his mouth and puffed.

To the surprise of many Bahati did not hack or cough like a buffoon or novice would do.

At the caption section of the video, the singer disclosed that the action was a scene in one of his projects dropping on June 8.

He also revealed that the song will be a hit and first release from his highly anticipated album titles just in love.

Although he acted cool at the caption section, a section of Kenyans have slammed him owing to the fact that he is still recognized as a gospel singer.

Months ago during an interview with comedian MC Jesse, Bahati disclosed he would not leave Christ but would quit the gospel industry.

“I cannot leave Christ. That is the most important and not the gospel industry. The gospel industry is rotten,” he said.
