Ann Waiguru: Kirinyaga County governor marks 50th birthday in style

Kirinyaga county governor Ann Waiguru gushed over her lawyer husband Waiganjo Kamotho on her birthday.

Taking to her social media pages, the mother of three penned down a lengthy message revealing that she turned 50 years old today, Friday, April 16.

The county boss thanked the Almighty for helping her achieve greatness in her life.

The joyful politician also thanked her family, friends and everyone who has been supportive to her in any manner.

Today I turn 50! I am most grateful to God for I have seen His goodness in the land of the living! I have seen Him in my joys and successes. And through my seasons of fires and in the darkest nights, He has been closer like no other. I am blessed to have wonderful family and friends and to be in good health. What a blessing to turn 50 today,” Waiguru said.

The county boss, who has never been shy to publicly profess love to her husband Waiganjo, penned a heartfelt compliment for him.

On her birthday message, the politician disclosed that ever since she tied the knot with Waiganjo, her life took a new turn which she has since loved.

“Live, laugh and love! Try new things often. Some of my most enjoyable moments have been driving across this country, stopping at Nyama joints, chats with ordinary Kenyans…all these in great company!

My husband and I have driven to 37 counties. We are hoping to cover the remaining 10 soonest,” she posted.

Waiguru also dropped some of the lessons life has taught her.

Build a strong support system! Family and friends who stay true and remind you of what life is truly about are invaluable. They will keep you grounded,” she said.
