Also known as Faith Makau, Amber Ray is a Kenyan socialite who first came into the limelight four years ago after Aaliyah Zaheer, wife to politician Zaheer Jhanda released photos of the socialite at a witchdoctor.
The photo showed the socialite in a shack draped in a white cloth while holding two chickens; one black and one white.
At the time, Amber was married to Zaheer as his second wife.
In March this year, the mother of one addressed the issue maintaining that she has never used witchcraft in her entire life, promising to share her side of the story soon.
“I know it’s hard to believe this but I’ve never used witchcraft in my entire life. Anyway one day I’ll tell my side of the story. You all better be ready… I don’t use juju, that picture was taken in a movie set that I was acting in,” she wrote.
After a long time going about her normal life, Amber came into the limelight once again after it emerged that she was dating Nairobi businessman Jamal Marlow, alias Rohosafi.
After months of speculations, the socialite came out and confirmed that indeed they were dating.
Amber unveiled her new man during his birthday where she professed love for him, admitting that she is happy with Jamal whom she termed her pillar and partner in crime.
“The only man who fell in love with both Faith and Amber…I’m so proud and happy to have you as my Pillar and partner in crime.
“I know they say perfect doesn’t exist but you are more than I ever wished for. Damn! I’ve never felt so obliged to do right by someone. Happy birthday soulmate,” she wrote.
Later, the socialite got married to Jamal as his second fuelling witchcraft rumours with netizens accusing Amber of using juju on Jamal.
The allegations became a discussion for days forcing Jamal to respond.
He disputed the claims noting that he willingly went after her, hit on her and eventually marrying her.
“@iam_amberay is my legal wife and that’s the truth. She has not used any juju on me as it’s being claimed, I am the one who knowingly went after her, hit on her and later married her,” he wrote.
