Comedian Akuku Danger born Mannerson Oduor Ochieng’ has refuted rumours that have been making rounds on the internet that he was locked out of his house for not paying rent.
In a viral video shared online, The comedian is seen been ejected from the house by his landlord violently. The video led to assumption that he had a fall with his landlord.
From what was heard in the video, the Churchill show comedian had not paid rent since January and had accumulated for 4 months.
Akuku could be seen thrown out with his few house belongings.
Many online users came through for him after watching the saddening video.
However, the comedian has publicly denied being evicted saying the happenings in the video was just an April 1 Fools’ day prank.
Akuku said he created that video to appeal to President Uhuru Kenyatta to relax some of the Covid-19 restrictions so that people can get back to their jobs and get something to put on the table at the end of the day.
“The reason for the video was to create sensitization, it may not have happened to me but someone else…the video was meant to pass that message to our President Uhuru Kenyatta to unlock the country so that we can go back to source for our livelihoods,” said Akuku.
Akuku said that after the video of his ‘eviction’ went viral he received a lot of help from well-wishers.
He disclosed that he was offered monetary help which he has decided to help the needy and those disadvantaged with Covid-19.
“I know there is someone wondering where their livelihood going to come from. I will share the money with those that are in need…” he said.
