Akuku Danger: Churchill show comedian locked out of his house over rent arrears

Churchill Show comedian Akuku Danger has been been locked out of his house by his landlord over rent arrears.

According to Akuku, who spoke with TUKO, President Uhuru Kenyatta should consider removing the lockdown to let people work so that they can earn and get something to eat and also clear their bills on time.

While pleading with the president, the comedian explained how the curfew and lockdown has affected majority of Kenyans.

During the phone interview with TUKO, Akuku opened up that the past few months have been worse for him due to limited work because of Covid-19.

Akuku’s words followed just after he was ousted from his house in Rongai.

In a video that has since gone viral on social media from Thursday,April 1, Akuku’s landlord is seen ejecting him from the house violently.

Some social media users concluded that the funnyman was just pulling an April 1 Fools day prank but according to him everything was real.

Since lockdown and curfew started in 2020, many people have been suffering. I am among those people. There were no shows and most avenues that were there were blocked. Yes I had rent arrears and what you saw is true, it was not an April Fools Day prank.” Akuku told TUKO.

The celebrated Comedian revealed that even though he is facing the hardship, he is working hard to settle it.

He pleaded with the government to reduce some of the Covid-19 rules to give way for it’s citizens to work atleast to feed themselves and their loved ones.
