The singer further disclosed that some Mombasa artists have been receiving benefits from the county government but has never gotten anything.

Akothee wondered why she always get excluded from such events yet she is a musician representing Mombasa and Kenya at large.

The mother of five also mentioned International Women’s Day show, Tukutane Mombasa and International World Tourism as some of the events which happened but she was left out.

‘How can I work hard and sweat here in Coast and not get anything out of it, I mean money that other artistes have been enjoying. Is it that I am an international artiste that is why my name is absent on the list of Kenyan musicians? Or you cannot just afford me. I want you to say where the problem is now so that we know where we stand when coronavirus ends,” Akothee wrote.

While penning down her complains, she came clear that she also cannot receive peanuts for shows.

The tough talking mother and songwriter concluded by posing a question county heads if they have been ignoring her because she is unreachable just as the did with Lupita Nyong’o.

But I cannot take KSh 50 bob, if you have to pay me poorly, let it be. Also, I am paid upfront. Or is it that you have failed to get a hold of me just like how you could not get Lupita? Call County Commissioner.
