It is American author Shannon Alder who famously said that, “one of the most important things you can do on this earth is to let people know they are not alone.”
This could aptly describe Inua Mama caucus forays in different parts of the Coast region during the Weekend.
The women leaders allied to Tanga Tanga faction toured various parts of the coastal region including Kwale and Taita Taveta counties.
But it is the activities of the women leaders in Taita Taveta that caught the attention of netizens.
Here are some of the moving photos:
Inua Mama has at least 50 elected women leaders and is said to have the blessings of the DP Wiliam Ruto.
The group has been crisscrossing the country conducting fundraisers to help women form saccos and self help groups and popularising Ruto’s 2022 bid.
Some critics have said the group was formed to counter Embrace team which popularises the political handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and former prime minister Raila Odinga.
Kandara MP Alice Wahome, Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika and Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa are among the most vocal leaders of the caucus.
