Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha assured that the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results will be out by May 10.
Speaking at Nairobi school while monitoring the National exams that ended on Wednesday, April 21, the CS confirmed that marking would commence almost immediately.
He further confirmed that candidates would know their results in two weeks time ahead of May 10.
Magoha stated that the examinations were done under strict measure and was successful despites Covid-19 challenges.
KCSE exams started on March 26 and ended on Wednesday,April 21.
Magoha further disclosed that 27 teachers were fired after involvement in leaking the exams and other materials.
The CS revealed that the teachers were removed from their roles from centre administrators, supervisors, or invigilators after engaging in malpractice.
“We experienced a number of cases where examination officials attempted to open the papers with the intention of exposing them to candidates before the actual examinations started. We thwarted these efforts in a few centres countrywide,” he said.
