Two vocal Deputy President William Ruto’s allies from Nakuru County were on Tuesday, January 14 blocked from attending a presidential function.
Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika and Nakuru East MP David Gikaria, who are allied to Tanga Tanga faction of Jubilee Party supporting DP Ruto, arrived at the the Rift Valley Regional Headquarters grounds where the president was set to issue over 2,000 title deeds to residents, but were blocked at the entrance by mean-looking GSU officers.
Gikaria, the area MP, was captured arguing with GSU officers manning the ground’s entrance but his pleas did not yield much as he was not allowed inside.
Kihika promptly took to social media social to express her frustrations.
“Earlier today the area MP Hon Gikaria and I were refused entry into a public function where the President will be issuing title deeds to the people of Nakuru County.
We were informed that orders from above are that we cannot be allowed entry because we belong to an Unwanted Faction! Meanwhile we are building bridges and uniting the nation,” said Kihika.
