“Pursuit to section 30 of the Teachers Service Commission Act, the Teachers Service Commission has removed the name of the individual named herein from the register of teachers,” reads the gazette notice signed by TSC CEO Nancy Macharia on Friday.
The deregistration means Sossion is not legally permitted to engage in teaching in any school in the country.

In July this year, TSC issued a notice of registration and gave him 90 days to appeal the decision in effort to force him out of the trade union.
“The acceptance of the nomination to National Assembly by ODM obviously puts Sossion on a partisan political activity. It was a manifestation of an agreement to support ODM agenda both in and outside Parliament,” Justice Nelson Abuodha ruled.
However, Sossion has maintained the deregistration will not stop him from executing his duties in the Union.
